Job summary

The City of Merriam Parks and Recreation Department seeks an energetic Lifeguard to keep our community pool safe by enforcing rules and responding to emergencies. This role requires vigilance, teamwork, and a strong service mindset.

Qualifications include a minimum age of 15 and American Red Cross Lifeguard, Waterpark Lifeguarding, and CPR for Professional Rescuer certifications (or the ability to obtain before the season).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard, Waterpark Lifeguarding, and CPR for Professional Rescuer certifications (or ability to obtain prior to season opening).

The City of Merriam Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Lifeguard to perform the below responsibilities:

• Enforces facility rules and policies;
• Ensures safety of patrons by responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years old. Current certifications through American Red Cross to include: Lifeguard; Waterpark Lifeguarding; and CPR for Professional Rescuer or ability to obtain prior to season opening.

Special Requirements

All employees must be available for mandatory training. Date to be determined by supervisor.
