Job summary

Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey is seeking energetic lifeguards to join the Aquatics team this summer. You will help keep guests safe at the water attractions, monitor the pool areas, and ensure a smooth operation while guests enjoy slides and wave pools.

Certifications are provided by the park. Applicants must be at least 15 years old, pass the required swimming prerequisites, and be available on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older for a Shallow Water License.
• Must pass prerequisites: swim 50 yards, retrieve a 10lb brick from 5ft, and swim 10 feet underwater.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guest safety at pools and slides and enforce rules.
• Complete and maintain Ellis and Associates training and certification.
• Pass certification tests with 100% accuracy.
• Understand basic rescue techniques and provide first aid when needed.

Responsibilities

• Six Flags provides & pays for all certification training.
• Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our water slides.
• Will complete and maintain Ellis and Associates training and certification.
• Pass certification tests with 100% accuracy.
• Understand basic rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older for a Shallow Water License.
• Must be able to pass pre-requisite skills: Swim a distance of 50 yards, retrieve a 10lb brick from a depth of 5ft, and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater for Shallow Water License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
