Job summary

City of Greenville is hiring Lifeguards for the Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center to help ensure pool safety year-round. You will monitor patrons, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, assist groups, and perform basic cleaning and water testing.

Minimum age 16; current Lifeguard certificate with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid is required; Water Safety Instructor is preferred. Training is monthly to maintain proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Lifeguard certification that includes CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
• Must attend monthly training to maintain a high level of rescue skill proficiency.
• Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist with groups using the facilities, basic cleaning, and water testing.
• Enforce facility rules.

Job description

Make a splash with the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department! We are recruiting Lifeguards for the Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center (operates year-round). This position will maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool, respond to emergencies as needed, assist with groups using the facility, and perform basic cleaning and water testing duties.

Minimum Age: 16 years old, at the time of application

Pay Rate: $14.75 an hour

Facility Hours: 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday - Saturday

Requirements:
