TradeJobsWorkForce is assisting Dallas Swim Kids in recruiting a Swim School Program Manager to oversee training and curriculum, onboard staff, and coordinate swim programs while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all students.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent time management, and hands-on involvement on the pool deck. You will mentor instructors, monitor classes, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure instructional quality across all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading swim instruction programs and staff development.
• Ability to monitor curriculum delivery and ensure consistency across classes.
• CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and training of new swim instructors and ensure readiness to deliver curriculum.
• Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to tenured staff.
• Observe classes regularly and give actionable feedback to instructors.
• Collaborate with supervisors to support curriculum delivery across all classes.
• Plan and lead in-service trainings for teaching techniques and safety protocols.
• Oversee and maintain accuracy in the swimmer progress tracking system.
• Serve as point of contact for members on class placement and progression.
• Teach classes to stay connected to the program and lead from the deck.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and other program operations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Engage with parents and students to foster a positive community atmosphere.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Swim School Program Manager to oversee the training and curriculum at our swim school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding and training staff, coordinating swim programs, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent time management, and a passion for aquatic education.

This role is responsible for upholding instructional quality and consistency, managing program operations, and ensuring our curriculum is delivered to standard. The ideal candidate is passionate about water safety education, thrives in a team environment, and leads by example through hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding and training of new swim instructors, ensuring they are confident and prepared to deliver our curriculum.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development to tenured team members to support continued growth.
• Regularly observe classes to ensure instructional quality and adherence to curriculum standards; deliver actionable feedback to instructors.
• Collaborate with supervisors to monitor and support curriculum delivery across all classes and levels.
• Plan and lead in-service trainings to reinforce teaching techniques, safety protocols, and class management best practices.
• Oversee and maintain accuracy within the skill tracking system, ensuring proper documentation of swimmer progress.
• Serve as a key point of contact for members by providing guidance on class placement, program structure, and swimmer progression.
• Regularly teach classes to stay connected to the program and provide leadership from the deck.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and other program operations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.
• Foster a positive community atmosphere by engaging with parents and students regularly.

Requirements

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
• A passion for swimming and aquatic education is essential; prior experience in swim instruction is required.
• Previous experience in a swim school or aquatics program, preferably in a supervisory or training role.
• Strong knowledge of swim instruction techniques and curriculum delivery for children.
• Passion for mentoring and developing others.
• CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
