Job description

Alpine Country Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of a part-time Lifeguard. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

Key Responsibilities of the Lifeguard:

1. Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
2. Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
3. Maintains amenities and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
4. Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager.
5. Enforces the rules of conduct.
6. Performs pool maintenance, including checking chemicals and vacuuming.
7. Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items to management promptly.
8. Organizes and monitors pool games; suggests poolside games.
9. Skims bugs and debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use; empties the automatic skimmer.
10. Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day.
11. Maintains all necessary records as determined by the department manager.
12. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience.
2. CPR, First Aid Certification, and various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required.

Other Qualifications:

1. Regular and reliable attendance.
2. Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
