Position: Lifeguard

Hours: Hours Vary

Location: District-Wide

Wage Information: Hourly wage is based on the SoWashCo School Miscellaneous Wage Sheet, ranging from $11.13/hour to $17.00/hour starting wage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise swimming activities at the aquatics facility, ensuring policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
• Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Administer first aid in case of injury, rescue swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and perform CPR and/or artificial respiration if necessary.
• Evaluate safety conditions and initiate aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and usability.

Additional Requirements

Must be available evenings and weekends. Willing to work at multiple locations within SoWashCo. Applicants must be willing to work at least one day per week. Red Cross Instructor certification is helpful.
