The City of Claremore is seeking a Lifeguard for the Recreation Center, responsible for ensuring swimmer safety and enforcing pool rules. Ideal candidates will hold current lifeguard certifications and be diligent in monitoring and assisting patrons. This hourly position offers a competitive wage of $9.00/hr.

General Purpose:
Under the general supervision of Rec Center Director department and isresponsible for preventing accidents through enforcement of policies, rules and ordinance governing the conduct of swimmers at the Claremore Super Recreation Center.

Tools and Equipment:
Swimming pool equipment including chlorinating system, pump, valves, filtration devices, gauges, etc. Lifesaving equipment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision utilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
