Job description

Join to apply for the Lifeguard role at YMCA of Greater Richmond.

The Camp Thunderbird YMCA is seeking enthusiastic community members for part-time positions to ensure the safety of patrons at our pool this summer. We are looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers interested in becoming lifeguards (training provided if qualified). This seasonal position starts at $14.00 per hour, with up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

DUTIES for Lifeguards

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the safety of members and program participants.

QUALIFICATIONS for Lifeguards

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and possess current CPR, AED, First Aid, and either American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification. Oxygen Administration (O2) certification is preferred but not required. The Y will provide training for candidates who meet basic swim requirements and are interested in certification.
