Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a Lifeguard to monitor water activities, prevent injuries, and enforce facility rules.

You will respond to emergencies, administer first aid and CPR, and work with a team of lifeguards and staff. Must be at least 15, training provided, and hold a current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Training will be provided.
• Thorough knowledge and application of swimming and water safety skills.
• Must possess a current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, or ability to obtain upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities in and near the water through patron surveillance.
• Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behavior.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations and educate patrons about them.
• Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies.
• Administer first aid and CPR, including AED when needed.
• Work as a team with lifeguards, facility staff and management.

Overview:

• Monitor activities in and near the water through patron surveillance.

• Competitive pay of $25.00 per hour
