Responsibilities

• Monitor activities at the pool to prevent accidents.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Provide appropriate rescue to aid swimmers in distress.

• Caution swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards in a friendly manner.
• Follow emergency action plan and procedures in emergencies.
• Maintain order in pool and adjoining areas.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Aquatic Director, Aquatics Program Manager and Head Lifeguards, lifeguards work to prevent accidents and injuries in their area of responsibility and respond to any level of injury or incident around the club. They will supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of members at all times by enforcing rules and regulations. In cooperation with the maintenance staff, they will monitor pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, ensure the pools and locker rooms are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, and perform related work, as required.
