This job requires working on weekends and holidays.
The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all swimmers and enforce all State and company pool rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring recreational areas to assist and protect participants.
- Providing prompt and courteous service to guests.
- Understanding waterpark equipment and rules.
- Enforcing waterpark rules and regulations.
- Staying updated on training requirements.
- Working to prevent accidents.
- Coordinating emergency procedures and providing first aid as needed.
- Documenting incidents occurring during duty.
- Reporting hazards immediately to a supervisor.
- Opening and closing the waterpark at posted times.
- Clearing the waterpark at closing time and cleaning pool deck areas.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Physical requirements include:
- Performing tasks indoors and outdoors with varying temperatures; wearing a uniform while on duty.
- Sitting for long periods, with walking and standing required.
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Having grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing, and visual acuity skills.
- Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
- Effective communication and ability to remain calm in stressful situations, including with children.
- Ability to take control during emergency situations.
On-the-job training and certifications are provided:
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard.
