Essential Duties

• Supervise swimming activities and enforce safety policies.
• Alert swimmers to dangers and enforce regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid.
• Work independently and maintain focus for extended periods.
• Assess conditions for safety and activate emergency plan as needed.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists.
• Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water quality.
• Assist with pool chemical testing and record results.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 15.5 years; must obtain a work permit if under 18.

• Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to interact with the public.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must obtain and maintain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification.
• Swimming proficiency; able to submerge in water depths exceeding 12 feet.

Preferred

• Prior lifeguard experience.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification.
• Available to work at least two days per week, including one weekend day.
