Overview

The Life Cycle Management (LCM) Engineer I is responsible for remediation to customer environments. This includes but is not limited to physical, virtual, preventative upgrades, and vulnerability-related OS patching/upgrades. This position will require the ability to follow complicated instructions with a client-first mentality. This role requires a high attention to detail and the ability to be flexible to client needs, escalate to teams, leadership, and partners when appropriate, and drive change to complete remediations on time.

Responsibilities
  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the company values
  • Works on remediating end-of-life and vulnerabilities for both hardware and software
  • Provides clear and accurate communications with customers and internal teams
  • Escalates to or engages partners, leadership, and internal teams as needed to ensure steady progress to a final remediation
  • Completes assigned cases and tasks in a timely fashion
  • Ability to balance high ticket queues and prioritize effectively with the client
  • Assists in the development of documentation to improve the delivery of remediation as appropriate
  • Makes recommendations for LCM process improvements and suggestions around automations to reduce repetitive tasks
  • Alert the manager, peers and others needed of any issues or limitations impacting the delivery of remediation
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, use DevOps methodology to deliver solutions, and modify approaches through work activities
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts, Agile methodology, and DevOps practices

  • Basic understanding of VMware ESXi host and vCenter operations/concepts

  • Basic understanding of disaster recovery concepts and tools
  • Basic understanding of public cloud deployment and technologies used in cloud solutions
  • Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with scripting languages is a plus
  • Experience with various automation tools and concepts
  • Experience with VMware technologies
  • Experience with Database management or storage management
  • Experience with Git and other automation management solutions
  • Experience with firewalls and other security technology
  • Prior working experience within the Agile methodology
  • Prior full-stack or DevOps code development
  • Prior experience with workflow automation for various tasks is a plus
  • Prior experience with network virtualization technologies: Virtual firewalls, virtual load balancers
  • Prior experience with network monitoring/management technologies
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and other integration technologies is a plus
  • Prior 1-2 years\' experience, particularly in the data center industry or for a managed services provider

Pay Range $60,000.00- $97,778.29
