Military Sealift Command (MSC) operates ships for the Armed Forces and other agencies. These ships are operated by US Coast Guard (USCG) licensed Merchant Mariners and maintained to commercial standards. Ships are either Government Owned-Government Operated (GOGO) or Government Owned-Contractor Operated (GOCO). MSC follows a commercial model for their policy system using a Quality Management System (QMS) ashore and a Safety Management System (SMS) afloat, adhering to IMO, ABS, and USCG regulations.
Secret clearance is preferred.
