Job summary

Emerson offers a co-op opportunity for engineering or CS students to work on automating repetitive tasks using ML/AI. You will collaborate with pricing and parts teams to build tools that streamline processes and improve data quality.

You’ll develop end-to-end solutions from idea to launch, using analytics to drive business decisions and growth opportunities, while gaining hands-on experience in a structured program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to contribute in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to use machine learning or AI to reduce repetitive manual tasks into digital tools.
• Collaborate with pricing and parts teams to streamline and automate key processes.
• Use data, AI/ML, and analytics to uncover insights and improve data quality.
• Develop tools to estimate service and parts opportunities across regions and industries.
• Analyze complex datasets to support business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
• Take ownership of projects—from idea to launch—including user feedback, testing, and improvements.
• Collect feedback and data analysis on current tools to prioritize future work.
• Create test plans and automate them to ensure high quality releases.
• Document development work and provide roadmap for future initiatives.
• Leadtime support, annual price increase automation, STO maintenance tools.
