Description

* $15,000 sign-on bonus for Day shift position with a 2-year Full-Time employment contract

* $25,000 sign-on bonus for Night shift position with a 2-year Full-Time employment contract

The Paramedic role is responsible for directing patient care while operating non-emergency and/or emergency modalities as a rescue unit in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and directives.
The EMT-P leads, directs, and participates in the delivery of basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital or facility situations. When acting as attendant-in-charge, EMT-P provides guidance to other crew members on patient care and medical issues. The EMT-P delivers emergency medical care to patients as directed by medical control or patient care protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead, direct, and participate in the delivery of basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital or facility situations.
  • Provide direction to other crew members when acting as attendant-in-charge on patient care and medical issues.
  • Examine patients and report findings to receiving medical staff or physicians.
  • Deliver emergency medical care to patients as indicated by medical control or patient care protocols.
  • Complete and record all required reports or runs made by the crew.
  • Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules and regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is fully stocked and in good working order at the start and end of each shift, and after responses.
  • Clean patient care compartments and vehicles following infection control and maintenance guidelines.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly office, lounge, bunk room, and parking area.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and balance a minimum of 125 pounds equally distributed and 250 pounds with assistance, to a height of 33 inches and a distance of 10 feet.
  • Attend training and orientations to maintain valid Virginia EMT Certification and meet company requirements.
  • Maintain all required certifications as an active EMS provider and provide valid copies to Human Resources before expiration.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
