Job summary

Life Time in California is seeking a Restaurant Cook to join a health-minded team in a fast-paced Bistro. You will produce menu items according to recipes, and uphold food safety guidelines while supporting the sandwich and salad stations.

This hourly role pays $18.75–$22.25 per hour depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time teammates including medical/dental/vision, retirement, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to daily kitchen needs, stocks supplies, maintains cleanliness, and ensures kitchen safety.
• Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness, sweeps, mops, cleans equipment, and washes dishes.
• Controls food production flow with sandwich and salad stations.
• Follows recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Cook works alongside health-minded teammates in a fun and fast-paced environment proudly serving our members industry-leading healthy food options. They produce menu items according to recipes in a timely manner and following food safety guidelines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to the daily needs for the Bistro, including, but not limited to, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety of kitchen
• Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, cleaning kitchen equipment, and washing dishes
• Manages the flow of food production in conjunction with the sandwich and salad stations
• Follows recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients while preparing food

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
• ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in restaurant with fast casual or full service experience
• Experience prepping recipes

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $18.75 and pays up to $22.25, based on experience and qualifications.
