Job summary

ACCESS Life Instructor Assistant in Little Rock, Arkansas, provides daily instructional support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them develop vocational skills, independence, and social engagement.

You will collaborate with the Lead Instructor to implement programs, prepare materials, and ensure safe, inclusive learning environments across campus and community settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar role or equivalent with adults with developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Instructor with vocational training, community integration, leisure, and independent living activities.
• Prepare materials, set up activities, and support participants during instruction.
• Communicate professionally with Instructor, families, and funding partners.
• Foster a warm, supportive environment and model professional boundaries.
• Support behavior management and implement behavior plans.
• Collect and track data on participant goals and progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation for program guidelines and funding sources.
• Ensure participant safety on campus, in the community, and during transportation.
• Provide transportation for participants as needed.
• Assist with paperwork for funding and program operations.
