Job summary

Bloom Consulting is seeking a contracted Life Skills Trainer to work with high school students with disabilities in the Isle of Wight County / Chesapeake area, Virginia. This independent contractor position offers about 10–20 hours per week and compensation of $25–$30 per hour.

Responsibilities include providing individual and small-group instruction, teaching life and employment-readiness skills, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with school staff to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with students with disabilities.
• Available Monday–Friday.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to complete background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to high school students with disabilities.
• Teach practical life skills and employment-readiness using Bloom Consulting curriculum.
• Engage students to build independence and workplace readiness.
• Maintain professional interactions with school staff and Bloom Consulting staff.
• Ensure safety and appropriate supervision of students during service times.
• Complete required documentation and track attendance.
