IVC District No is seeking a dedicated Special Education Life Skills teacher for grades 4-8 within a self-contained learning environment. You will plan differentiated lessons aligned to IEP goals, support students with limited verbal abilities using picture supports and augmentative communication devices, and manage behavior and sensory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education applicable to teaching.
• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• LBS I endorsement preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Assess students and identify learning issues to guide instruction.
• Participate in IEP meetings to develop plans.
• Implement IEPs and behavior plans with students.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and authorities as needed.
• Maintain student records and communicate with parents.
• Counsel and liaise between home and school.
