Harrisburg School District seeks a dedicated special education teacher for Harrisburg High School - John Harris Campus. Must hold a PA teaching certificate in Special Education and may also hold Secondary Education certificates in Math, Science, English, or Social Studies.

Experience with Learning Support, Autism, Emotional Support and Life Skills is preferred. Strong communication with students, staff, and parents is essential, and a passion for urban education is encouraged.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

All applicants are required to possess a valid PA teaching certificate in the area of Special Education with additional certificates inSecondary Educution: Math, Science, English or Social Studies. Experience with Learning Support,Autism, Emotional Support and Life Skills student learning preferred. Exhibits knowledge and understanding of best instructional practices, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability tointeract effectively with students, staff, and parents; and an interest in urban educationpreferred.
