Onward Education is seeking a dedicated Life Skills instructor for an onsite elementary setting in Marion County, Indiana. Full-time, Monday–Friday, serving grades 1–4 with a caseload of 10–12 students, and 37.5 hours per week.

You will provide specialized instruction focused on functional academics, daily living skills, independence, and social communication, collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers while supporting IEP goals and progress reporting.

Formación

• Valid Indiana teaching license for Special Education.
• Mild Intervention required; intense preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in Life Skills / functional classroom environments.
• Knowledge of IEP processes, special education compliance, and school-based service delivery.
• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialized instruction and support for Life Skills students.
• Develop instruction focusing on functional academics, daily living skills, independence, and social communication.
• Support student goals aligned to IEPs and promote independence.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, admins, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning, goals, and progress reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation for services, progress, and compliance.
• Use evidence-based strategies to support behavior and functional development.
• Ensure compliance with special education regulations and district policies.
