Job summary

Onward Search Education partners with a Lawrence County school district in Indiana to hire a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year, serving a self-contained K–2 classroom with a small caseload and structured day.

The role involves specialized instruction, case management, collaboration with campus teams and families, and adherence to IEP goals within a 7:40 AM–3:20 PM schedule (37.5 hours/week) and a pay range of $49–$52 per hour.

Qualifications

• Indiana Special Education License is required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged learners (K–2 strongly preferred).
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned to IEP goals and grade-level standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliant IEPs, progress monitoring, and required documentation.
• Provide a structured, supportive classroom environment using evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and administrators to support student success.
• Communicate consistently with families/guardians regarding progress, supports, and plans.
• Participate in meetings (IEP conferences, team meetings) and help ensure timelines and compliance are met.
