Job summary

Belgrade Public Schools is seeking a Life Skills Special Education Teacher at Belgrade Middle School. The role reports to the Director of Special Education and/or Building Principal and is a salaried 1.0 FTE position.

The teacher will develop and implement educational programs, participate in IEPs and MDT meetings, maintain progress records, and communicate with families while collaborating with staff. Start date is January 5, 2025.

Qualifications

• Valid Montana Educator License with proper endorsement.
• Successful experience teaching and working with children/students.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of IEPs and participates in IEP meetings.
• Provides an appropriate educational program for each student.
• Plans curriculum, lessons, and special education programs.
• Monitors progress and reports to parents and staff.
• Maintains regular contact with parents and participates in meetings.
• Supervises students, aides, and volunteers.
