Job summary

Brenham Independent School District is seeking a Life Skills Paraprofessional at Krause Elementary School to assist the classroom teacher in delivering instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic activities for students with disabilities as identified by the IEP.

The paraprofessional will support planning and implementation, maintain records, and participate in staff meetings, while upholding professional standards and confidentiality during the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Applicants with 48 college hours must have completed paraprofessional assessment if not.
• Demonstrates positive work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing instructional activities.
• Support students with disabilities under the IEP process.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and students.
• Keep records and attend required meetings.
• Provide personal care and assist with activities as needed.
