Job summary

Compass LLC in Ukiah, CA seeks a full-time Bilingual Life Skills Instructor (Life Coach) to support adults with developmental disabilities in living independently at home. You will teach essential life skills and provide mentorship within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• No college degree required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Must be able to schedule effectively & know community resources.
• Must have a car, insurance, and valid driver's license.
• Criminal background check required.
• CPR & First Aid cert must be completed before hire (paid by company).
• Drug test and U.S. work eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Teach life skills such as money management, household chores, cooking and nutrition, exercise and healthy eating.
• Develop recreational skills and social/emotional competencies.
• Assist with medical/dental appointment scheduling and transportation needs.
• Provide mentorship to help clients live interdependently in their own homes.

As a coach with Compass, you will help adults with developmental disabilities live interdependently in their own homes through Independent Living Services. We walk beside our clients offering life skills instruction and mentorship. Every client's needs are unique to them and our teams work together to ensure each client receives the exact services they need.

ILS COACH REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to learn: no college degree is required, but must be teachable
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Must be excellent at scheduling and knowledgable about community resources
• Must have a car, insurance, valid driver's license
• Must pass a criminal background check
