Job summary

Easter Seals Southern California, Inc. is hiring a Life Skills Coach I for our Northridge Adult Day Services. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them gain social and daily living skills and participate in community activities.

The role emphasizes empathy, patience, and advocacy; requires high school diploma and CPR/First Aid certificates. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with a starting hourly rate of $20.00.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; CPR/First Aid certifications must be maintained.
• 2-4 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of person-centered programming approaches for meaningful activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessments, planning, and ISP/IPP documentation.
• Support planning of person-centered activities and life skills learning.
• Provide emotional support and personal care; supervise participants.
• Educate and train participants in assistive communication tools.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and accurate record-keeping.
