Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience working with individuals with I/DD preferred.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and have a driver's license.

Job description

Together with those we support, we develop and customize person-centered plans to help young adults/adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) set and achieve goals toward greater independence.

In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by teaching skills that empower them to live as independently as possible.

Teaching Areas May Include:

  • Basic household and independent living skills
  • Health and safety skills
  • Budgeting and money management
  • Daily planning and time management
  • Community access and integration
  • Job Coaching
Requirements:

  • Age 19 or older
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Personal vehicle, current driver’s license, and current insurance
  • 1-2 years education and/or experience with individuals with I/DD preferred

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
