Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD in natural sciences, medicine or related discipline.
• At least two years' experience in pharma/biotech or investment.
• Strong scientific and analytical capabilities with market insight.
• Experience with scientific due diligence and evaluating evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, engaging with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an international environment.
• Proactive, collaborative and curious about life sciences investing.

Responsibilities

• Support scientific and business due diligence for new and follow-on life sciences investments.
• Evaluate publications, business plans and emerging technologies to inform decisions.
• Conduct competitive, market and landscape analyses across therapeutic areas.
• Engage with scientific experts and key opinion leaders to test hypotheses.
• Assess companies, programs and market opportunities with senior colleagues.
• Build financial models to support investment evaluation and decisions.
• Prepare investment memoranda, analyses and presentations for internal review.
• Coordinate deal flow and maintain documentation across investments.
• Support portfolio companies by coordinating interactions with the fund and Novartis.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and external stakeholders in the life sciences ecosystem.
