Summary of Position

The Life Sciences Technical Recruiter II will follow established recruitment and sourcing strategies for talent that is suited to technical roles with Fulgent Genetics and its subsidiary companies. This position will cover full life cycle recruiting for technical roles including but not limited to solutions engineers, software developers, integration engineers, network and systems engineers, web developers, data analysts, AI and machine learning scientists, and bioinformaticians. Our technical teams operate in an engineering-focused culture and span multiple departments such as Web, Workflow, IT, Biointegration, AI / ML, and Bioinformatics.

The Life Sciences Technical Recruiter II is responsible for sourcing passive technical talent, opening and closing requisitions, screening resumes, conducting preliminary screening interviews, and ensuring a speedy recruitment process for technical roles. Under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Life Sciences Technical Recruiter II will develop reliable partnerships with hiring managers and HR colleagues. They will identify candidates for the parent company, Fulgent Genetics, as well as subsidiary companies CSI Laboratories, Inform Diagnostics, and any additional subsidiaries that may be acquired in the future.

Key Job Elements

  1. Reviewing job intake requests and collaborating with hiring managers and recruitment leadership to develop and / or update job descriptions; posting positions in the ATS after receiving approval from executive leadership.
  2. Sourcing passive talent and developing creative solutions to build technical talent pipelines.
  3. Reviewing active candidate resumes, pre-screening qualified candidates; collaborating with hiring managers and recruitment assistants to schedule virtual and on-site interviews.
  4. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and HR colleagues across all Fulgent entities.
  5. Submitting offer approval requests, drafting offer letters, and collaborating with recruitment leadership on negotiations.

Qualifications

Knowledge / Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for a concentration in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or other related technical field. A degree in Human Resources or Business Administration will also be considered.
  2. 3 - 5 years of experience in either an agency or internal recruiting environment with a life sciences or biotech technical focus is required.
  3. Understanding of modern tech stacks.
  4. Highly collaborative and able to utilize a consultative approach with hiring managers.
  5. Strong computer skills with proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Great attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
  8. Positive outlook and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Additional Skills

  1. Experience working in a fast-paced, accelerated-growth environment.
  2. Strong diversity and equity experience.
  3. Familiarity with PayCom ATS and / or ability to learn new ATS software.
  4. Experience recruiting at university and conference career fairs.
  5. Experience hosting virtual career fairs.

This role is on-site and based at Fulgent Genetics headquarters in El Monte, CA.
