Job summary

Accenture seeks a senior Portfolio Strategy & Value Lead to own the end-to-end value thesis for Reinventive Enterprise engagements in Life Sciences. You will govern multiple transformation workstreams, maintain CEO/CFO narratives around ROI, and serve as the primary Accenture relationship owner with client executives.

You will lead cross-functional teams, shape reinvention roadmaps, and drive new engagements while contributing to practice development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise transformation or strategy consulting within Life Sciences
• Proven track record leading multi-workstream programs
• Experience presenting transformation roadmaps and ROI to C-suite/SVP/VP level
• Strong understanding of AI, data, and digital tech shaping operating models
• Demonstrated success in business development and senior client relationships
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior professionals
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

About the Role

The Portfolio Strategy & Value Lead is the most senior Accenture leader on a Reinventive Enterprise engagement. This role owns the end-to-end value thesis, governs the portfolio of transformation workstreams, and serves as the primary C‑suite relationship owner on behalf of Accenture. Part trusted advisor, part business builder, part value architect — this is a balanced leadership role at the center of enterprise reinvention.

The Work

• Chair the portfolio governance forum and facilitate investment sequencing and prioritization across multiple transformation programs
• Own the end-to-end reinvention value case from initial business case through value realization tracking, maintaining CEO/CFO-level narrative around ROI
• Serve as primary Accenture senior relationship owner with client executive team, managing C-suite relationships and driving alignment across leadership
• Surface trade-offs, elevate delivery risks and resourcing gaps, and drive the reinvention roadmap including sequencing of transformation waves
• Lead cross-functional Reinvention Force teams across Transformers, Workforce Architects, and AI & Data Innovators
• Drive business development: originate, shape, and close new reinvention engagements; lead proposals and commercial pursuits
• Contribute to thought leadership and practice development for the Life Sciences Reinventive Enterprise practice

You are

A strategic leader and trusted advisor with deep Life Sciences expertise. You are a structured problem solver with extensive consulting and industry experience. You communicate clearly and credibly with C‑suite executives. You thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and know how to lead a team while staying close to the work. You have driven business development and built lasting client relationships. You bring energy, resilience, and a genuine passion for building something new.

Candidates must have at least 8 years of combined experience in the following areas

• Enterprise transformation or strategy consulting at a top‑tier firm or leading Life Sciences organization, with experience leading multi‑workstream programs from problem framing through delivery
• A proven track record leading engagements with measurable client impact — including owning the value case, governing delivery, and maintaining C‑suite relationships throughout
• Experience developing and presenting transformation roadmaps, reinvention narratives, and investment cases to C‑suite, SVP, and VP‑level stakeholders
• Strong understanding of how AI, data, and digital technologies are reshaping enterprise operating models — and the ability to translate that into client strategy and roadmap
• Demonstrated success in business development: identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and building senior client relationships
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing junior professionals
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as client and business needs require

Preferred Skills

• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience building or scaling a new practice, offering, or capability from the ground up in a consulting context
• Track record developing thought leadership — whitepapers, conference presentations, or published perspectives — on enterprise transformation or AI‑driven reinvention
• Experience operating across multiple Life Sciences sub‑sectors (large pharma, emerging biotech, CROs, or medtech) and geographies
• Familiarity with value quantification frameworks for AI investments (e.g., Wharton economic model or equivalent)

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
