Watts & Associates, recruiting on behalf of a leading Am Law 100 firm, seeks a Patent Associate in Life Sciences with 1–4 years of substantive prosecution experience. You will draft, prosecute and manage domestic/international portfolios, collaborating with partners and inventors to develop protective strategies.

Ideal candidates have strong academic credentials, USPTO registration or eligibility and the ability to handle multiple workstreams across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong drafting and prosecution skills for life-sciences patents.
• Ability to manage complex portfolios and deadlines.
• Excellent communication with clients, inventors and cross-office teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications and manage domestic/international portfolios.
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys and clients on high-value matters.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel and support due diligence and IP transactions.
