The Role We Want You For

As Life Sciences Market Leader, you will be responsible for market P&L, strategic direction, project development, sales campaigns, client relations, organizational development, and contract negotiations. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and transform the life sciences market sector by leveraging engineering expertise to develop and execute complex EPC and design-build projects.

The Specifics of the Role

1. Develop strategic and tactical business plans aligned with enterprise objectives.
2. Develop and implement client development and sales strategies to meet business goals, focusing on sourcing new clients and expanding existing relationships.
3. Act as a Clayco account leader, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering future opportunities.
4. Collaborate with senior executives across engineering, procurement, and construction to showcase capabilities.
5. Contribute to the development of Design & Engineering practices through technical support, industry insights, and regulatory compliance.
6. Own P/L results for the Market Segment, working with the CFO on sales projections, forecasts, and budgets.
7. Guide project teams to maintain efficient execution within a dynamic environment, documenting and communicating design assumptions.
8. Coordinate resources effectively within a matrix environment.
9. Establish and develop trusted third-party OEM relationships.
10. Recruit, mentor, and develop Design Project Management staff to foster collaboration.
11. Negotiate complex project and contract terms, including full-scope EPC and related services.
12. Measure success by business growth, client satisfaction, project outcomes, and market expansion.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or significant field experience leading to leadership roles.
2. 15+ years of progressive EPC experience in life sciences projects, managing projects valued at $250M+.
3. Deep understanding of construction costs, contract negotiation, and administration.
4. Proven leadership of large, cross-functional teams with mentoring experience.
5. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development skills.
6. Excellent communication skills for impactful presentations and consensus building.
7. Ability to analyze complex problems, prioritize, and develop innovative solutions.
8. Meticulous scope and cost management skills.
9. Ability to anticipate trends and adapt to changing circumstances for continuous improvement.
