You will collaborate with experienced litigators and patent practitioners, translating complex science into clear legal strategies while supporting portfolio development and global matters in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing.
• 2–4 years of patent prosecution and patent litigation experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Biology or related life sciences.
• PhD in life sciences strongly preferred.
• USPTO patent bar admission.
• Experience with patents across biotech, pharma, gene therapy, devices, digital health.
• Portfolio development and management experience.
• Familiarity with IP strategy and competitive landscape analyses.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in life sciences patent prosecution and litigation matters.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications in biotechnology, pharma, and related tech.
• Develop and manage domestic and international patent portfolios.
• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and competitive analyses.
• Develop litigation strategies for complex patent disputes in courts and forums.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Engage in post‑grant proceedings before the PTAB and related bodies.
• Collaborate with scientists and attorneys to translate science into legal strategy.
• Advise clients on IP strategy, enforcement, and portfolio protection.
