The ideal candidate has a strong JD, USPTO admission, and 2–4 years in patent prosecution and litigation, plus a life sciences undergrad; PhD preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing.
• 2–4 years in patent prosecution and patent litigation.
• Undergraduate biology or life sciences degree; PhD preferred.
• USPTO admission; experience in biotech/pharma/medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in life sciences patent prosecution and litigation.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications across biotech, pharma, gene therapy, medical devices, digital health.
• Develop and manage domestic and international patent portfolios.
• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses.
• Develop litigation strategies for complex disputes in federal courts and other forums.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, and trial prep.
• Advise on IP strategy and portfolio development.
