Job summary
The Life Sciences Instructor will teach general biology (BIO) or anatomy and physiology (A&P) courses at Forsyth Technical Community College. Part-time adjunct positions are filled on an as-needed basis, with evening and weekend options possible.
The instructor will manage assignments, maintain records, and grade assessments. Open to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications (Master’s in biology with 18 graduate hours) and who can teach online or on-site per department needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in biology or life sciences-related field with at least 18 graduate hours in biology or life sciences-related coursework.
- Previous academic teaching experience at a community college or university.
- Experience teaching hybrid, online, and/or multimodal courses.
- Experience with distance learning technologies.
- Experience with multi-cultural pedagogy and development of multicultural curricula.
Responsibilities
- Teach general biology (BIO) or anatomy and physiology (A&P) courses.
- Maintain attendance and grade records; administer and grade examinations.
- Adhere to college policies and department course guidelines.
- Deliver courses online or in-person per department needs.
- Design learning experiences that extend beyond classroom instruction.
- Utilize learning management system tools as required.
