Job summary

South Piedmont Community College seeks a Biology adjunct instructor to deliver General Biology I and/or II online or on-site at campus locations. Courses may be online or seated at L.L. Polk, Old Charlotte Highway, or other community locations.

The successful candidate will develop curricula, facilitate learning, and assess outcomes while maintaining current credentials and engaging in ongoing professional development. Moodle experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a completed Master’s with 18 graduate hours.
• Online teaching experience and community college teaching preferred.
• Moodle training or documented Moodle experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver biology instruction online or on-site at SPCC campuses.
• Develop and implement engaging curricula and learning activities.
• Assess student learning outcomes and align with program goals.
• Maintain course records and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Provide accessibility and support to students across delivery modes.

Education

Master’s degree in teaching discipline OR completed Master’s with 18 graduate hours in teaching discipline
