Job summary

J T in Seattle and other major U.S. offices seeks a mid-level associate for its Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory Practice Group.

You will provide regulatory counsel to healthcare providers and life sciences companies, collaborating across corporate, litigation, and IP teams to support regulatory strategy and compliance in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of healthcare law experience, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to manage workstreams

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of healthcare law experience, including representation of hospitals, health systems, or providers.
• Admission to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction or eligibility to become licensed.

Position Overview

A top-tier regulatory practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its nationally recognized Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory Practice Group across multiple major U.S. offices. The role focuses on providing comprehensive legal counsel across healthcare provider/supplier operations and life sciences product regulations in an interdisciplinary environment alongside litigation, white-collar, transactions, and IP teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Healthcare Provider Counsel: Advise academic medical centers, health systems, outpatient providers, digital health companies, and healthcare investors on regulatory compliance, operational matters, and supplier regulations.
• Life Sciences Regulatory: Support global pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostic, dietary supplement, and cosmetics companies on regulatory strategy and compliance.
• Cross-Practice Collaboration: Partner with corporate, transactional, litigation, intellectual property, and white-collar defense groups on regulatory aspects of healthcare and life sciences matters.
• Research & Advisory: Conduct complex legal research, draft regulatory submissions, and deliver actionable counsel to clients across the healthcare ecosystem.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in healthcare law, including direct representation of hospitals, health systems, providers, or healthcare suppliers.
• Licensure: Currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.
• Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills; creative problem-solving ability; capacity to manage workstreams independently while collaborating effectively in deal and case teams.
• Credentials: Excellent academic credentials and professional references.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (Base salary, commensurate with experience)
• Bonus: Hours-based bonus eligibility
