Job summary

GBA is seeking a Construction Manager in Colorado to lead pharmaceutical-related projects from initiation to closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety, and quality while coordinating with clients, design teams, and field personnel.

Ideal candidates will have a 3+ year background in construction management, Life Sciences exposure, and strong scheduling and cost-control capabilities. Travel to site locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 3+ years experience.
• Experience in Life Sciences industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience supervising trade construction activities.
• Estimating and subcontractor buyout experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling (MS Project or equivalent).
• Understanding of project accounting and cost control.
• OSHA-30 certification required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify risks and solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of project performance — including budget, schedule, scope, safety, and quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and manage resources to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with estimating and marketing to develop pricing, schedules, and subcontractor buyout strategies.
• Review plans and specifications to identify conflicts or missing information, coordinating with clients and design teams for resolution.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, safety, and quality with superintendents.
• Track financial performance including forecasting, profitability, and pay applications.
• Manage change orders, requests for proposals, and scope modifications.
• Lead progress meetings, issue minutes, and oversee closeout and warranties.
• Support the professional growth of project engineers and assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
