Qualifications

• Experience applying ML and software engineering to biological problems.
• Experience working in drug discovery or development at biotech or pharma, or in academia.
• Strong software engineering skills with production‑quality Python and large codebases.
• Hands‑on experience training or fine‑tuning ML models (LLMs, protein models, or DL architectures).
• Track record shipping computational tools/pipelines used by biologists.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship agentic tools and integrations for Claude to execute biology workflows.
• Design evaluation benchmarks for biology tasks and literature synthesis.
• Collaborate with product/design to scope and ship life sciences features.
• Engage external biotech/pharma users to turn feedback into product improvements.
• Maintain engineering infrastructure behind the biology product surface (data pipelines, eval harnesses).
• Translate biological knowledge into product requirements and evaluation criteria.
