Job summary

Flagship Facility Services is seeking an experienced Cage Wash Technician to support daily operations within an Animal Care Facility. The ideal candidate will have vivarium cage washing experience, knowledge of sanitation procedures, and strong laboratory safety awareness.

Responsibilities include cleaning, washing, and sanitizing cages and related equipment, operating cage washers and racks, handling soiled bedding, maintaining clean work areas, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in cage washing within vivarium or lab animal facility.
• Experience operating cage washing equipment.
• Familiarity with laboratory sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and teamwork.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a laboratory animal facility or vivarium, with knowledge of cage washing, sanitation procedures, and laboratory safety requirements.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who has previously worked in a cage wash area and understands the daily responsibilities, equipment, cleaning procedures, and safety requirements associated with an Animal Care Facility.

The candidate should be able to perform routine duties with limited supervision after receiving site-specific training.
