Job summary
Strategic Connections is seeking a Fire Protection Designer (Sprinkler) to design code-compliant fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects in Raleigh, NC. You will prepare layouts, calculations, and submittals using CAD, Revit, or similar tools, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.
You should have 2+ years in fire protection design, knowledge of relevant codes, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SprinkCAD,
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years in fire protection design.
- Familiarity with fire protection codes and standards.
- Proficient with CAD-based design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD).
- NICET certification is a plus, not required; company supports certification.
Responsibilities
- Design code-compliant fire protection systems for various building types.
- Prepare layouts, calculations, and submittals using CAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers for integration.
- Stay updated on NFPA and AHJ requirements.
- Review specs and assist with estimating and material selection.
- Collaborate on life-saving solutions with the team.
