Job summary

The American Red Cross in Nashville, TN is seeking a Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by date/time, select and pack life-saving products with correct temperature control, and maintain precise records for traceability.

You will interact with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors, showing care and professionalism while prioritizing accuracy and safety in every step of the process.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation and sound decision making.
• Position may require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Enter data for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering and shipping; maintain records.
• Analyze information from other departments to meet time and quality standards.
• Identify and quarantine products that don't meet quality requirements and handle dispositions.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
