Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced personnel for fire alarm and fire protection systems on construction projects in Austin. Lead technical oversight of documentation, design reviews, and on-site quality control to ensure NFPA, IBC, and client specifications are met.

You will bridge design intent and field execution, safeguarding schedule, budget, and safety. Role requires site coordination, risk management, and strong knowledge of fire protection standards.

Qualifications

• NFPA, IFC, IBC knowledge and proficiency.
• Experience commissioning projects, semiconductor industry a plus.
• Construction experience related to fire alarm/fire protection (3–5 years).
• Project management/construction management experience and certification.

Position Summary

Experienced personnel in Fire‑Alarm & Fire‑Protection who serve as the technical expert for all fire‑alarm and fire‑protection systems on our construction projects. This role provides continuous oversight of subcontractor documentation, design reviews, and on‑site quality control to ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, local codes, and client specifications. By proactively identifying scope gaps, managing change orders, and driving rapid issue resolution, the personnel safeguards schedule, budget, and safety performance while preventing disputes and re‑work. The position bridges the gap between design intent and field execution, delivering reliable, code‑compliant fire protection solutions that support the overall success of the construction program.

Skills and Qualifications

• Construction Experience related to fire alarm and/or fire protection 3-5 years
• NFPA, IFC, IBC Code proficiency
• Experience commissioning projects (Experience in semiconductor industry is a plus)
• Project management/construction management experience and certification
• A Bachelor of Engineering degree is a plus

The current base salary range for this role is between $92,00- $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
