Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer to design life safety solutions for innovative facilities in Sacramento, California. This role involves delivering code-compliant safety solutions and engaging with clients to ensure safety in complex environments from semiconductor manufacturing to research facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP. You'll enjoy a hybrid work model that offers flexibility while being part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications
- Experience in fire protection engineering and life safety systems design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- At least 4 years of experience with Safety System Design.
Responsibilities
- Deliver code-compliant fire and life safety solutions including fire sprinklers and detection.
- Take ownership as Engineer of Record, guiding teams and collaborating.
- Interface directly with clients and local code officials to ensure compliance.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models.
- Apply Life Safety & Fire codes to produce calculations and specifications.
