Job title: Life is Good Team Lead Department/Division: Life is Good / Retail Operations Status: Regular, Part-time, Hourly Pay: $18.11 per hour Reports to: Store Manager Benefits: Amenity Passes and Parking, Retirement Savings (GDCP) Closing date: Open until filled.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Guest Services Team Lead will assist the Store Manager with the daily operations of the Life is Good store. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, shop supervision, inventory control, training, motivating staff, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

Description:
  1. Assists Store Manager in supervising employees, encouraging and motivating sales and customer service staff.
  2. Assigns employee lunch & breaks to manage day-to-day activities effectively.
  3. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing a rapport with customers.
  4. Ensures availability of merchandise by replenishing store stock levels daily.
  5. Resolves customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  6. Assists in inventory counts, identifies shortages or surpluses, and reports all discrepancies to the Manager.
  7. Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  8. Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  9. Assists with briefing all guest services staff is aware of changes at the beginning of each shift.
  10. Enforces program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  11. Prepares daily store deposits and daily revenue reports. Ensures that all store accounting reports are accurate and submitted promptly.
  12. Responsible for ensuring proper PCI compliance as required by credit card regulations.
  13. Responsible for maintaining proper cash controls in the store.
  14. Contributes to the team effort by striving for increased store sales while promoting awareness of the store and its purpose.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  1. Completion of a high school degree or a recognized equivalent. An Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
  2. 2 – 4 years of retail store experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Must be outgoing, personable, and friendly.
  4. Must love working with people.
  5. Must effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
  6. Computer skills are required, and Excel is a must!
  7. A flexible schedule includes weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
  8. Must be able to stand for long periods.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  1. Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
  2. 90% of the typical workday will be spent standing.
  3. Between 25 and 50% of the day will be spent walking, lifting, grasping, feeling and climbing, pushing, and pulling.
  4. Less than 25% of the day will be spent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  5. Less than 10% of the day may be spent sitting.
  6. Sensory abilities required include vision, hearing, and touching, with more than 50% of the day spent communicating, talking, and hearing.
  7. Must have visual clarity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned and close visual clarity to prepare, analyze data and figures, and operate and view a computer.
  8. The majority of work will be performed within an indoor office environment. Typically, work is not conducted in adverse environmental conditions.
  9. The noise level is considered quiet to normal.
