Job summary

Topaz HR is recruiting for a detail-oriented Case Manager to oversee life insurance cases from application through policy placement in the Monsey area. The role requires coordination with brokers, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure a smooth underwriting process.

Ideal candidates will be organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple cases with accuracy, delivering exceptional broker experiences. On-site employment with a salary range of $60,000–$75,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in case management, insurance operations, underwriting support, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Preferred: experience in life insurance, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or carrier operations.
• Familiarity with AMS, CRM platforms, or underwriting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage life insurance cases from submission through policy placement while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely follow-up.
• Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and carrier-specific requirements.
• Establish and maintain accurate case records within the Agency Management System (AMS).
• Gather, organize, and manage medical, financial, and underwriting documentation throughout the application process.
• Coordinate with brokers, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to facilitate case progression and resolve outstanding requirements.
• Monitor case status and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders throughout the underwriting process.
• Anticipate potential obstacles and identify solutions to minimize delays and improve placement outcomes.
• Prepare application packets, supporting documentation, and carrier submissions as needed.
• Maintain detailed records, case notes, and workflow updates to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Assist with quotes, carrier portals, and additional case-related administrative responsibilities as required.
