Meridian Senior Living in Punta Gorda, FL is hiring an Activity Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through group or individual activities. You will assist the Activity Director in planning and executing programs that support social, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, and build positive relationships with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• The Activity Assistant will support community member’s quality of life by executing daily activities with community members as a group, or on an individual basis.
• Assist the Activity Director design and execute plans, programs and events that meet the required needs of the community members such as socially, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with all community members, families, staff and the geographic area the community serves.
• Lead by example and maintain ethical standards in daily operations.
• Create and maintain activity calendars, communication materials and update activity boards.
• Support the planning, scheduling and execution of quality activities in accordance with care plans.
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation and provide leadership for volunteers.
