Job summary

Senior Living Properties in Chicago is seeking a Life Enrichment team member to lead activity programs for residents. The role involves presenting engaging activities, coordinating with staff, and ensuring groups start on time according to the activity calendar.

You should bring a passion for working with seniors and, preferably, an associate degree in recreational therapy. The position offers full-time hours with a starting rate of $17.00 per hour, based on experience, and a comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Present a program of Activities to meet the needs and interests of each Resident.
• Meets weekly or as scheduled with Life Enrichment Department staff to coordinate accountabilities of the department.
• Presents Activities as scheduled on the Activities Calendar.
• Creates an atmosphere of excitement & anticipation through Special Events programming.
• Provides “Active Listening” for Residents/Families directed at problem identification & solution.
• Informs, invites and escorts residents as necessary to groups of their choice.
• Has materials and preparation done prior to groups so that group is started on time according to posted schedule.

Starting Rate: $17.00 per hour (Pay is based on previous experience)

Monday & Tuesday 7:30am - 3:30pm

Wednesday 12:00pm- 8:00pm

Saturday 8:00am- 4:00pm
