Job summary

The Terraces at Tuckerman Lane is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to plan and lead activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will partner with the Executive Director to build a strong community network and supervise an energetic enrichment team.

Requirements include supervisory experience, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), proficiency with Microsoft Office, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• At least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in senior living, recreation, or a related field.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming.
• Ability to maintain required state-level certifications or licenses (such as CDL if applicable for resident transportation duties).
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to resident services and care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new systems and applications.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet resident needs and support special events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department leaders and the Executive Director to build and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to develop a strong volunteer and resource network.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of activities and events that promote resident engagement, family involvement, and meaningful experiences.
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing life enrichment team while fostering a culture of teamwork and engagement.
• Create innovative programs that support resident independence, cognitive stimulation, social connection, and overall well-being.
• Ensure activities and programs comply with all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously enhance offerings based on resident interests and feedback.
